“Sunsets are so beautiful that they almost seem as if we were looking through the gates of Heaven.” – Sir John Lubbock
A couple of days ago we decided to photograph the sun setting over Gothenburg city, and we decided to do it from Masthuggskyrkan, one of the highest set churches in the city.
The view that opens up from the church’s walls is breathtaking. The whole of Gothenburg lays in front of you, with it’s sparkling houses, beautiful curve of the Göta river and fantastic view of the statue of the sailor’s wife, waiting for her husband to come home.
We were lucky to capture the incredible reddish-purple sunset, which looked almost too colourful to be true.
